Shawn V. Branch is the CEO and Founder of SVBranches, Inc. Shawn’s passion lies in helping top level executives and independent consultants optimize their time and maximize their impact. With over 20 years of experience in growing the top brands in the fashion retail space, he made a career transition in 2007 to the education sector.
During this transition, Shawn had the privilege of serving as the executive assistant to then-Chancellor for the District of Columbia Public Schools, Michelle Rhee. Working closely with her, Shawn gained valuable insights into the intricacies of the education system, managing high-level public officials, and what supports are essential to maximizing the impact of effective leadership.
In 2011, Shawn relocated to Sacramento, CA with Michelle Rhee to start StudentsFirst, a bi-partisan national K-12 education advocacy organization with the mission to shape policies that would bring about meaningful change for all young people in America’s public schools. It was an incredibly fulfilling endeavor, where he honed his skills in start-up nonprofit operations, strategic planning, stakeholder management, and education policy and advocacy.
Now, as the CEO and Founder of SVBranches, Inc., Shawn brings his extensive experience and expertise to help top level executives and independent consultants make the most of their time and resources. He is dedicated to helping his clients achieve their goals, providing them with the strategies and support they need to thrive in their respective industries.
With a keen eye for detail, a flair for innovation, an ability to build trusting relationships, and a deep understanding of the demands of today’s business landscape, Shawn is confident in his ability to deliver exceptional results for his clients. Additionally, as a seasoned conference planner, Shawn excels at crafting impactful events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale conferences, by seamlessly managing logistics, speaker coordination, and attendee engagement. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating memorable experiences, he consistently delivers successful events that align with client vision and exceed expectations. A native of Baltimore, Shawn graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Management from Morgan State University. When Shawn is not empowering his clients professionally, he takes time to enjoy the small, yet beautiful wonders of life, which for him include entertaining good friends and family, traveling across the globe, and getting cozy with a good book!
